Outlook: Ready to Go or Ready to Learn? You Decide:
There are two ways to move to the new email system. If you have some familiarity with Outlook or Entourage (Mac), and you feel comfortable in just getting started, skip ahead to "Ready to Go". If you would like to attend a training session, either before or after your account is created, choose "Ready to Learn."

Ready to Learn (training) - Sign up for a 1-hour training session that will cover the basics of accessing the new email system. (Mac users should sign up for a Friday Macintosh/Entourage session).

Please note that attending a training session will not create your Exchange account. You will still need to sign up for Ready to Go when you are ready to switch from your existing email system into Exchange.

Ready to Go (account set-up) - Sign up for a support professional to come to your office and set up a new Exchange account an d move your existing email and contacts into the new email system.

What is Exchange?
Exchange is the email server where all of your information is kept. This information includes; email, calendar, local contacts, and tasks. There are two ways to access your information on the Exchange server.
1 - Microsoft Outlook 2003
2 - Outlook Web Access (OWA)

Microsoft Outlook 2003 -- Outlook is the desktop client that communicates with the Exchange server so you can access your email, calendar, and contacts. This product is installed on your desktop and can be set up to work with the Exchange server. Outlook 2003 has a full feature set comparible to other email clients such as Eudora, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes, and Pegasus.

Outlook Web Access (OWA) -- You can access your information on the Exchange server from anywhere you have an Internet connection. For the best use of OWA, use Internet Explorer as it is most compatible with the Exchange environment. The website is: http://exchange.kent.edu.
Log in using your Flashline email address and password. OWA is a browser version email and therefore does not have the full feature set of an email program. OWA is similar to using a much better version of Flashmail.
